You’re Welcome Here

We are so glad you are coming to visit with us! Here you will find some basic information about our worship services, and some answers to frequently asked questions that many visitors have when they first visit our church. If you have more questions, you can always reach out to us at mtzioncob@gmail.com. Mt Zion is a welcoming community that encourages everyone to dress in whatever makes them comfortable for worship. Some come in ties and jackets, and others come in jeans or shorts and T-shirts. We believe coming to God is about the state of our hearts, not our attire. Our worship service is a blended service that intertwines both contemporary elements and traditional practices. You will often hear hymns and praise songs with both piano and a praise team in the same worship service. We are a simple church that wants to welcome all kinds of worship practices into our sanctuary.

We do not have a staffed nursery every Sunday, as we like to encourage all of our families to worship together and form a family practice of their faith. We do have a nursery area in the back of our sanctuary where parents can take their children if they need a place to play, to change a diaper, or to use a rocking chair. From this space parents can still hear, and often see, what is happening in worship.

Each week we do have a Children's Story time. During this time someone shares a story or lesson just for the kids of our church, and we provide a snack, and often a worksheet for the kids in our church. This time is a very special part of our worship service that helps our church include everyone in attendance in our time of worshipping God.

We also have a handicapped accessible entrance and handicap accessible bathrooms for our congregation. We want to make sure that all can come in worship in our space. We also have wheelchairs we keep on site in case you cannot transport your wheelchair to church.  We also offer hearing assistance devices for those that need help with hearing, all you need to do is ask the greeter at the door and they will be happy to get you a device.
